Bebop on the Van Life

I’m really glad we have the Bebopabago camper van. We’ve had a fun trip so far, and we have much more to go. The weather has been very nice - in the 30s most nights and the 60s most days. For us creatures with fur, that’s great weather. It’s been pleasant for hiking, or sleeping in the van when dogs aren’t allowed on the trails. When I get to hike, I’m so happy I just dance with dad.

Sometimes in the van I like to pretend I’m the driver. I look back and say, “Behave back there, or I’ll stop this van right now.” Then we all laugh.

I Drive
I have a great bed for traveling. My harness connects to the seat belt latch for safety, and I can look out the window and see the scenery. At night, my hoomans pull out the connector that makes one giant bed, and we all sleep together.
My travel spot - I can almost see my food.

We stopped in a town called Quartzsite to get gas and dad saw a park nearby, so we went there and played. They had a dog park and I met Milo, and we ran and played hard. He was nice, but I’m not looking for a long term relationship right now.

We went to a big park called Joshua Tree. Our campsite is surrounded by big rocks. I almost caught a chipmunk. There are funny trees that look like a tree at the bottom, but a Yucca plant on top. I looked at the rocks.

We went to the ranger talk and everyone wanted to pet me. Then I took a big poop on the way back to the camper. There’s an old Seinfeld joke about people and dogs: “If aliens were observing our planet and saw one species following another species around and picking up their poop, which one would they think was in charge.”

The desert doesn’t have as many sticks as some other places. I could use a good chew stick right now. We’re on our way to Death Valley. I don’t like the sound of that name - wish me luck.
